On 1 November 2008 the D&M Management Team announced the formation of D&M Business & Professional Group (Europe) and the appointment of Bob Goleniowski as Managing Director. The new Business & Professional Group provides a broad product offering for a wide range of professional AV, broadcast and professional DJ applications.

The formation of the new group reorganises D&M’s professional product brands, comprising Denon Professional, Marantz Professional, Denon Professional DJ, Allen & Heath and Calrec, within a single division, exclusively responsible for the sales, marketing and distribution of these brands throughout Europe. With the formation of new group, Goleniowski is leading the Business & Professional brands into a new era of expansion and growth in Europe. Having worked for Harman International and more recently Allen & Heath, in various executive level roles, Goleniowski brings more than 25 years of professional audio experience to the management of the group.

Goleniowski commented on the appointment saying, “I have always been a great admirer of Denon and Marantz products and their ability to offer some of the finest audio products available, especially in the area of CD, DVD, and solid state storage devices for the professional user.”

The Business and Professional Group combines the knowledge and expertise of the professional product teams in place, offering a broad based product range to cater for a wide range of professional requirements across the professional AV, broadcast, pro-audio, professional DJ, and MI market sectors; offering a truly one stop approach to meet the requirements of the broadest customer base. The group’s major objective is to build on D&M’s professional business in the region, to position it as a leading player in the market.

“The professional market is a key sector for D&M, both in terms of its size and strategic importance,” states Goleniowski. “It is an area D&M is targeting as part of its growth strategy, in seeking to expand into new sectors, particularly in professional AV.”

The new group offers a greatly expanded product and brand portfolio for the professional AV sector, offering extensive product synergies across Denon and Marantz Professional, Denon DJ Professional and Allen & Heath product ranges in particular.

At prolight+sound 09, D&M Business & Professional Group (Europe) is launching a number of new products, including the new Denon DN-X1700 flagship DJ mixer and Denon DN-C110 professional CD player.
